Not sure of the guy's real name. it's probably Wayne Hernandez. A quick Google told me that. Apparently a jazz singer now? Either way, this is a jolly little tune, which fits right into the 1989 era, which probabl;y explains why it wasn't a hit. There were several song and artists with the same style of music. Maxi Priest's version of "Rise To The Occasion" springs to mind.
