Released in 1988 in order to save the federation brewery from extinction. It worked for a few years. Well, I'm guessing it wasn't saved on the power of this rather weak single, but due to other matters.
Unfortunately, the brewery has now closed, and been demolished. "newcastle Brown ale" is now brewed in Tadcaster. Not really very north-eastern.
