It would appear I've been the victim of an awful scam with this one. It's listed in the CD-R category, as it is, indeed a CD-R. Purchased from Cash Generator, in the merry old town of Hartlepool It would appear they don't check their CDs before selling them on
They always "seal" the cases of CDs, via means of the impenetrable membrane known as "sellotape". Yeah, I could peel it off to check each CD before I buy it, but that would look even more shady than buying a dodgy CD. The case appears to be structurally sound, meaning that someone slapped the case in their pocket, walked out of a shop with it, and then burned the CD to match the afore-mentioned pinched case.
Of course, there's no proof to any of the above, therefore, I'd like to believe that the original CD that was housed in this box somehow met a bitter end, and the owner simply made a backup of the CD. Now, many people exchange their CDs after they've finished listening to them (me excluded), so I'm hoping that the oginal owner forgot this was a CD-R, and exchanged it anyway. That's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it.
