28 relaxing insturmentals to soothe your cares away...

You are listening to an AUTOHARP, patented in 1881 by Charles F. Zimmerman of Philadelphia. the instrument consists of a psaltery or zither type soundbox, from which the right hand delicately draws the melody, coupled with a selective string damping mechanism with which the left produces a gentle chordal accompaniment.

Well, that's what the pamphlet inside the CD case says anyway. Coincidentally, I was in York many years ago, September 2008 to be precise, and I happened to take a photo of Paul Jennison playing this, and indeed, on a closer inspection of the photo, he was selling this very same CD. Genuinely intrigued to give it a listen, though I know I'll probably turn it off after 30 seconds and never listen to it again.

Also, according to the flyer, Paul lives in Durham, and I go past his house every time I to do the treatment centre in Durham to have my eyes looked at. How strange.
