2022 was a year that was entirely dominated by this song, after it featured in an episode of a TV show ''Stranger Things''. Unfortunately, that meant that although I liked the original Kate Bush version, it got overplayed... on the radio every hour, every shop you went in. Even Harry Styles released a song that essentially ripped off the synth version.
Unfortunately, this version isn't very good at all, which I'm sure you can gather just by looking at the name of the band.
The A side, which entirely outstays its welcome, is essentially, a bleepy-bloopy version, mixed by Alex Party. Of course, if you remember their hit "Don't Give me Your Life", you're essentially getting a carbon copy of that, to the tune of "Running Up That Hill".
The B side, "Rolling Down That Mountain" is essentially the same thing, but with less vocals, and lots of "yeah yeah yo" samples, and the occasional mention of the word "Rollin".
Track 3 is the "Radio Version". Amusingly, a previous owner has asterisked this last track, as if it was meant to be played somewhere. It's essentially a shorter version of the first track. Of course,as this is a radio edit, I wouldn't expect much difference, but I was hoping for something a bit more exciting with that asterisk being there. I don't think I'll be playing this one much, though it's a perfect contender to feature in an episode of IBYDLYT.
